Watch Now: David Gilmour – Live At Pompeii (Full concert on YouTube for a week)

Pink Floyd - A Fleeting Glimpse Posted on 09/05/2020 by Col T09/05/2020

Pink Floyd’s final upload for the YouTube Film Festival, in the form of David Gilmour’s Live At Pompeii concert, is live now for the next week.

45 years after Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour filmed ‘Live At Pompeii’ in the legendary Roman Amphitheatre there, he returned for two spectacular shows in July 2016, part of the year-long tour in support of his No. 1 album Rattle That Lock. The performances were the first-ever rock concerts for an audience in the stone Roman amphitheatre, and, for two nights only, the 2,600-strong crowd stood exactly where gladiators would have fought in the first century AD.

This version is the full concert, spanning 2.5 hours and featuring 21 songs from David and Pink Floyd’s catalogues.

It will be available to stream on YouTube until the 17th of May.

Enjoy, and remember to stay safe and stay home as much as possible.

Jon Carin a Grammy Award winning musician, singer, songwriter and producer who has been a longtime collaborator with  Pink Floyd and the solo careers of David Gilmour and Roger Waters has been incredibly busy these last few months,

He has been putting in preperations for the upcoming Roger Waters : This Is Not A Drill Tour which was originally planned for July 2020 and has now been pushed back until 2021 with new dates still to be announced.

With the unexpected global lockdown due to the current Covid 19 situation Jon has found himself in his studio writing and creating music and we are very excited that this song has circulated from this has been released online in digital form.

Fear of Everything

In Jons Own Words “My logic behind releasing it was that I felt it related to what we are going though at the moment.

And the greatest way to overcome fear is to acknowledge it first.

Also, this is a good time to put out some of the stockpile of unreleased songs I have as a way to say thanks.“
