Pink Floyd have announced a brand new set of interviews to celebrate the launch of ‘The Later Years (1987-2019)’ box set. The interviews, titled ‘The Lost Art Of Conversation’ will come in the form of a 4-part, weekly podcast between David Gilmour and BBC Radio’s Matt Everitt.

The first episode will premiere on November 25th, 2019.

Mick Fleetwood has announced a special concert to take place in London, February 2020, to celebrate Peter Green and the early days of Fleetwood Mac

The bill includes Billy Gibbons, David Gilmour, Jonny Lang, Andy Fairweather Low, John Mayall, Christine McVie, Zak Starkey, Steven Tyler, Bill Wyman and more to be announced. Legendary producer Glyn Johns has joined as the executive sound producer and the house band will feature Fleetwood himself along with Andy Fairweather Low, Dave Bronze, and Ricky Peterson.

 

Fleetwood, who curated the list of artists performing, said: “The concert is a celebration of those early blues days where we all began, and it’s important to recognize the profound impact Peter and the early Fleetwood Mac had on the world of music.  Peter was my greatest mentor and it gives me such joy to pay tribute to his incredible talent. I am honoured to be sharing the stage with some of the many artists Peter has inspired over the years and who share my great respect for this remarkable musician. ‘Then Play On’…”

Pink Floyd have announced  that The Later Years 1987-2019 box set has been pushed back from its original release date to the 13th of December, 2019.

Due to production and logistical delays, the deluxe, 18-disc box set of ‘Pink Floyd The Later Years’ and its digital equivalent will now be released on 13 December 2019. The highlights 2LP or 1CD package and their digital equivalents will keep the release date of 29 November 2019.

 

The box set covers the material created by David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright from 1987 onwards, and features over 13 hours of unreleased audio and audiovisual material, including the sought-after 1989 Venice and 1990 Knebworth concerts.

Luckily the delay is only a short one, and the Highlights release is still coming out on the 29th of November, 2019.
