Pete Townsend Ft David Gilmour 1986 Rockpalast Performance Scheduled For RSD 2022 Release

To celebrate Record Store Day 2022, Pete Townsend will release a live recording titled ‘Face The Face’

The show was recorded for the German TV series Rockpalast in Cannes in January 1986. Pete Townshend’s Deep End were touring in ,support of his solo concept album “White City: A Novel”. Several of the musicians that appeared on the album were featured in the line-up of the Deep End including Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour on lead guitar. The set list has tracks from the “White City” album, other Townshend solo tracks, Who classics, David Gilmour’s song “Blue Light” and a couple of surprises.

Scheduled for release on 23rd April 2022 on 2x 12″ LP 3and limited to a quantity of 3500 only.

On 18th February 2022, the Restored and Re-Edited version of Pink Floyd’s P.U.L.S.E. concert film (shot on 20th October 1994 at London’s Earls Court) is released as a 2 Blu-ray or 2 DVD deluxe box set, with the return of the flashing LED on the spine (as seen on the original 1995 CD release) powered by replaceable AA batteries! These deluxe packages include music videos, screen films, documentaries, rehearsal footage and more, along with a 60 page booklet.

In an interview from 1995, with Mojo Magazine, Nick Mason talked about the flashing LED. “Essentially, it’s a device which we thought was entertaining. It’s an idea of Storm Thorgerson’s which related to Dark Side and the pulse, and it’s a live album so the box is “alive”. After that, in terms of seriously deep meanings, one might be struggling a bit.”

Roger Waters has unexpectedly released a live radio broadcast recorded at the Colisée De Québec, Canada, 7th November 1987 during the Radio K.A.O.S Tour on his YouTube and Spotify Channels.

A firm favorite amongst many bootleggers for many years, We are delighted to see that Roger is indeed promoting and showcasing more content from this period of his career and hope that material from his 2006 Dark Side Of The Moon Tour may also one day surface.

Durga Mcbroom Opens Home Studio To Record Worldwide Session Work

Durga McBroom has worked with Pink Floyd as a backing vocalist consistently on all of their shows since the 1987 “A Momentary Lapse of Reason” Tour up to the final concert of “The Division Bell” in 1994.

In 1989, She formed the band Blue Pearl and had several hit songs including “Naked in the Rain” and “Alive” which featured guest appearances by David Gilmour and Rick Wright.

In 2014 she came back together with Pink Floyd to record on their last album “The Endless River” which sold over 2.5 million copies worldwide.

Recently she has set up a facility to be able to record her own vocals at Durga Diva Studio at her home in Rome, Italy at extremely good quality which she has now opened up for session work worldwide.
