A Tribute to Syd Barrett |

This section of the site is not intended as an extensive resource on Syd Barrett. There are a couple of web sites who already do that very well, and we don't wish to duplicate what they are doing.
This is more of a quick tribute to Syd, with a collection of images that we hope you will enjoy.
For a more extensive coverage of Syd, we recommend the following sites

Most
visitors to this site will already know that Roger (Syd) Barrett was one
of the original founders of Pink Floyd. Syd left the band in 1968 as the
other members felt they were unable to go on with Syd, due to his erratic
behavior, assumed to be caused by his overindulgence in LSD.
Syd was quickly replaced by Dave Gilmour and Syd set off on a solo career. Unfortunately he never made it once away from the band. (Which seems to be true of any of the members attempting a solo project!).Syd then lapsed into obscurity.
From time to time stories surface about Syd but I won't go into them here. This unforgotten hero, now lives a quite life in Cambridge (UK).The pictures you are about to see have been obtained from a number of sources.
London 1967?
Syd at Butlins (Holiday camp) early sixties
1967/8?
Flower Power!
Trying out for a razor blade commercial?
Syd El Greco!

If you prefer to remember Syd the way he was in the sixties, then do not scroll any further. The pictures below feature Syd in later years and may distress some people. You have been warned!
