‘Dark Side’ 1973 Sound System Re-Creation To Be On Exhibit At Australian Pink Floyd Show Dates
Back in early September you may remember CH Vintage Audio showcasing Pink Floyd’s touring PA from their 1973 DSOTM tour at the PLASA show in London. The PLASA show showcases the latest and greatest in Audio/Video, Lighting, Rigging and Staging technology. Well now, that same PA will be making select appearances on exhibit at upcoming Australian Pink Floyd dates:

Syd Barrett – Opel (Take 9) Official Audio
The Syd Barrett Official Youtube page has uploaded another video, this time from Opel. The title track Opel (Take 9) which features some quotes to go along with the audio taken from various sources, one being The Making of Madcap Laughs a privately issued book from producer Malcolm Jones.
Released on the 1988 album “Opel”. “Opel” is a 1988 album compiled from recordings made by former Pink Floyd frontman Syd Barrett between 1968 and 1970. The album is a compilation of unreleased material and alternate takes of recordings from sessions for Barrett’s solo albums, The Madcap Laughs and Barrett. The album consists of eight previously unreleased songs and alternate versions of six already released songs.

It’s David’s first-ever interview about his sound engineering work with Pink Floyd. David was primarily responsible for Pink Floyd’s quad system, and his memories provide invaluable insights into the challenges Pink Floyd’s crew faced as they supported 56 dates in Europe and North America.
