Pink Floyd - A Fleeting Glimpse Posted on 02/02/2024 by Tony R02/02/2024

Fingals’ Cave Podcast is back! This time featuring keyboard player Harry Waters! Son of Roger Waters and as we all know was in his touring band from 2002-2016. Harry talks about his love of Jazz, Nintendo and what’s it like playing to click tracks and much more! It’s a really wonderful interview – do check it out!

Ep.13 - Harry Waters on Animals, Coachella, Nintendo and much more

We start the new year with another wonderful guest, who is a musician, composer and one of the most versatile artists we had on the show so far. He has been a crucial part on every single Roger Waters tour between 2002 and 2016 and if his last name is familiar, that’s because he is also the son of Roger Waters. We talk enthusiastically about music in general, playing to click tracks, his last shows with Roger Waters at Coachella 2016, his excitement about Chick Corea and his programming work for a Nintendo game. Harry played many show with LES CLAYPOOL and reveals how much he loves the Album ANIMALS. We very much respected his wish not to ask him any personal questions about his father so expect a in depth talk about music.

The Dark Side Of The Moon 50th Anniversary UV Edition

Pink Floyd - A Fleeting Glimpse Posted on 01/02/2024 by Tony R02/02/2024

April 19th, 2024 sees Pink Floyd releasing a Collector’s Edition of The Dark Side Of The Moon on crystal clear vinyl. This will be a limited edition crystal clear 2-LP, 180g set of the classic album featuring UV artwork printing on the non-groove side. This set will feature the prism spectrum seen through the playable side of the vinyl while maintaining the best quality sound that fans expect. This 50th anniversary collector’s edition is housed in a gatefold sleeve with slipcase and an exclusive poster.

This is the first time that Pink Floyd have used this pioneering UV printing process on vinyl. The images are printed with a high end UV printer, using UV-LED light to dry the permanent ink on the side without audio on which the image is printed. This combination of one-sided audio and the UV print (on the side without audio) combines the best of both worlds: perfect audio and a beautiful image to enjoy.
