Starting today, a Yamaha 9000 Recording Custom drum kit from the 1980s, in a piano-black finish, is up for auction, kindly donated by Nick Mason and Philip Pope (a friend of Nick’s and fellow musician). The auction supports the Harefield Healing Garden, a sanctuary created for patients, families and staff at Harefield Healing Hospital. The kit includes a 22 inch kick drum; 10, 12 and 13 inch rack toms; 14 and 15 inch hanging toms; a Sabian Solar hi-hat; two cymbals; and a seat.

The prize also comes with a purple Yamaha 14 inch snare, with the top head signed and inscribed by Nick Mason in black marker: “Shine On..! Pink Floyd June 2025.” The winner will also receive a pair of ProMark Nick Mason Signature drumsticks, signed and inscribed “Good Luck..! and Shine On..!” in black marker. The full lot includes all stands and fittings, cases for every drum, a bag for the hardware and stands, and new heads on the toms.
