Guy Pratt, legendary bassist for Pink Floyd and author of My Bass and Other Animals will be in conversation with Karen Dobres on Sunday, October 26 at 3 p.m., in the first-floor event room at The Star Inn, Alfriston.

Karen, a former fashion model turned director of Lewes Football Club (the first club in the world to pay its women’s and men’s teams equally), has just published a new book: Pitch Invasion: My Story as a Feminist on a Football Club Board. She will discuss her experiences as a woman in the male-dominated world of football, and her personal journey from being “bored by footie” to becoming a club director. Guy, if you didn’t know, is also a fan and owner of the Lewes FC. 

Expect a lively, funny, and thought-provoking conversation as Karen and Guy talk feminism, life — and everything in between.
