Announced today as a Record Store Day exclusive, Pink Floyd Live From the Los Angeles Sports Arena, April 26, 1975 arrives on four clear vinyl LPs and features 16 live recordings captured by renowned bootlegger Mike Millard at the band’s iconic Los Angeles Sports Arena show on April 26, 1975. The audio has been lovingly restored and remastered by acclaimed producer and musician Steven Wilson. In addition to the 4LP set, it will also be released as a double CD, making this a Record Store Day first for Pink Floyd.
As you may remember, this live album was released in December as part of the Wish You Were Here 50th anniversary box set and was only available on Blu-ray at the time. This will be welcome news for fans who have been hoping for a standalone release.
Pressing details are as follows. On LP, 15,400 copies in the U.S. and 30,000 worldwide. On CD, 7,100 copies in the U.S. and 20,000 worldwide. These will not be available anywhere else, the reason behind RSD is to encourage people to go out and support their local retailers and the indie record store culture.
