RIP Ronnie Rondell Jr. (1937-2025)
As you may have seen on our social media pages this past weekend, we were saddened to report that Hollywood stuntman Ronnie Rondell Jr. — most famously known as the “burning man” on Pink Floyd’s Wish You Were Here album cover — passed away last Tuesday, August 12, at the age of 88. He is survived by his wife, son, and grandchildren. Our condolences go out to his family.
In addition to being photographed by the legendary Storm Thorgerson and Aubrey Powell of Hipgnosis, Rondell Jr. performed in more than 200 films, including How the West Was Won, Lethal Weapon, Twister, and The Matrix Reloaded.
