Pink Floyd Wuz Ere Part 1

Pink Floyd Wuz Ere (Part 1)

In August 2000 Tim Kozusko set off with his trusty camera from the USA to the UK on a mission. His objective was to get pictures of as many landmarks, that had Floyd associations, as he could.
The results of his expedition can now been seen here. You did well Tim!

LONDON

31 Tottenham Court Road. London. This is the site where UFO once stood. Generally accepted as the launching place for Pink Floyd's career.

Another shot of 31 Tottenham Court Road. I was mortified when I saw this but hey! life goes on.

I don't think I need to tell you what this picture is of. Opened on 12 November 1931, Abbey Road Studios (The Beatles named thier album after the studio) is where Pink Floyd recorded their Masterpiece 'The Dark Side Of The Moon'. The Floyd started using Abbey Road as far back as February 1967 when they recorded 'Matilda Mother'.

Still in Abbey Road. If you think about it, there are two Floyd albums featured here. The first is the obvious 'Dark Side Of The Moon' but do you get the second album connection?

No series of pictures of Abbey Road would be complete without the obligatory 'crossing' picture. Tim says that even today folk are still compelled to have their pictured snapped while crossing the road.

See you in a vision

A dream of yesterday

The memories they are fading

The music seems to stay.

It was so long ago

It seems so far away

31 Tottenham Court Road

The Piper of Yesterday.

The dreams may be changing

Their purpose still the same

31 Tottenham Court Road

Music of the day.

All the flowers have died Syd

Where did the Piper go?

Screaming, horrid nightmares

Did you make it home?

Syd . . .

Did you ever leave the show?

See you in a vision

A dream of yesterday

The memories they are fading

The music seems to stay
