About This Site

The 'Early Years' stories on this site came about after urging from Dave Ward, the owner of the excellent but now defunct 'Breathe' site. I originally wrote them over a period of time, starting back in February 1997.

In June 1998 I started my own site called Pink Floyd-The Early Years which has now been retired.

In October 1998 in collaboration with Danilo Mirkovic, the whole site underwent a major overhaul. At that time the site was around 5 MB however since then the site has grown to around 3GB with no sign of stopping! Despite what others may claim, A Fleeting Glimpse is now probably the largest Pink Floyd site in the world, and it's certainly one of the busiest!

I suppose the whole emphasis on this site today is that it is driven by Floyd fans from around the world. It wouldn't be possible to display all the exhibits without contributions from other Floyd freaks, so although I run the site, what is shown is dictated by what is sent to me.
