THE PINK FLOYD make their first ever appearance on BBC-TV's Top Of The Pops tonight (Thursday) with their first chart entry "Arnold Layne".


An up-and coming pop group here at the Poly call themselves "The Abdabs" and hope to establish themselves playing Rhythm and Blues. Most of them are architectural students.

Their names are Nick Mason (Drums) Rick Wright (Rhythm ????? Clive Metcalf (Bass) Roger Waters (Lead) and ????? Keith Noble and Juliette Gale (Singers).

My thanks go to Stephen Johnson for the use of these graphics. They are taken from the programme, from the 18th &19th May 1973 Earls Court shows. It is believed that these clippings originally belonged in Nick Mason's own private collection.
